Studio code of conduct & participation agreement


Introduction

At Level Up Dance Complex, we strive to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all dancers, families, and staff feel valued and empowered. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations, responsibilities, and guidelines that ensure a positive experience for everyone. By participating in our programs, all members agree to adhere to these principles.

General Guidelines

  1. Attendance:
  2. Arrive on time for all classes, rehearsals, and performances.
  3. Notify the studio in advance if you will be absent or late.
  4. Maintain consistent attendance to ensure progress and team success.
  5. Dress Code:
  6. Wear appropriate dance attire as specified by your class.
  7. Keep hair secured and avoid wearing jewelry during classes.
  8. Bring proper footwear for each dance style.
  9. Behavior Expectations:
  10. Show respect to instructors, staff, peers, and yourself.
  11. Follow instructions promptly and maintain a positive attitude.
  12. Refrain from disruptive behavior, including excessive talking or using mobile devices during class.
  13. Studio Etiquette:
  14. Keep the studio clean by disposing of trash and storing belongings in designated areas.
  15. Do not bring food or drinks (except water) into the dance studios.
  16. Respect shared spaces, including the lobby and restrooms.
  17. Parental/Guardian Involvement:
  18. Support your dancer by ensuring they arrive prepared and on time.
  19. Maintain open communication with instructors and staff.
  20. Refrain from interrupting classes or rehearsals.



Anti-Bullying Policy

  1. Bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.
  2. Report any concerns to staff immediately, who will address the issue promptly and confidentially.



Health and Safety

  1. Physical Safety:
  2. Warm up before dancing to prevent injuries.
  3. Inform instructors of any pre-existing injuries or health conditions.
  4. Studio Safety:
  5. Follow all emergency procedures as outlined by staff.
  6. Do not bring unauthorized individuals into the studio.
  7. Illness Policy:
  8. Stay home if you or your dancer are feeling unwell.
  9. Notify the studio of contagious illnesses to protect the community.



Financial Responsibilities

  1. Tuition and fees must be paid on time to avoid penalties.
  2. Refund policies can be reviewed in seasonal contracts and are posted at the front desk.
  3. Additional costs, such as costumes or competition fees, will be communicated in advance.



Performance and Competition Guidelines

  1. Commitment:
  2. Participation in performances and competitions requires full commitment to scheduled rehearsals.
  3. Team Spirit:
  4. Support fellow dancers with encouragement and positivity.
  5. Professionalism:
  6. Represent the studio with integrity and respect at all events.



Social Media and Photography

  1. Obtain permission before posting photos or videos of classes, rehearsals, or performances.
  2. Tag Level Up Dance Complex in posts to share our community spirit.
  3. Avoid posting content that may harm the reputation of the studio or its members.



Consequences for Policy Violations

  1. Warnings:
  2. Verbal warning for minor infractions.
  3. Written warning for repeated or more serious infractions.
  4. Disciplinary Actions:
  5. Temporary suspension from classes or activities.
  6. Termination of enrollment in severe cases.
  7. Appeals Process:
  8. Submit a written appeal to studio management for reconsideration of disciplinary actions.


Consequences are at the discretion of studio leadership and may not be followed based on the severity of the instance(s).



Agreement

By enrolling in Level Up Dance Complex, all dancers, parents, and staff agree to uphold this Code of Conduct. These guidelines ensure our community remains a welcoming, respectful, and inspiring place to grow through dance.
